Powerful Learning Platform Singled Out in "Lesson Planning Solution" Category
Follett MyDestiny™, a powerful learning platform designed for today’s classroom, has been selected as the winner of the “Lesson Planning Solution” category in The 2020 EdTech Awards from EdTech Digest. The award is from “The EdTech Cool Tool Awards” portion of this year’s contest.
Launched last year to design partners and pilot sites, MyDestiny combines an expansive library of ebooks and Open Educational Resources (OERs) with built-in artificial intelligence to help teachers find quality resources, all aligned to national and individual state standards. It combines more than 40,000 ebooks and over 750,000 high-quality OERs to create a discovery-driven universe where students thrive, according to Britten Follett, Executive Vice President, Follett School Solutions.
“MyDestiny gives educators the power to connect 24/7 with students in a whole new way, helping to guide their learning journey from discovery to mastery,” Follett said. “We are thrilled MyDestiny has been singled out by the judges as the winner in the ‘Lesson Planning Solution’ category.”
The learning platform equips educators with the tools to plan and create interactive lessons in minutes, freeing up time to attend to the individual needs of their students. Lessons can be seamlessly assigned to students along with teacher-created assessment tools and other educator-approved resources.
The company is currently developing features for Follett MyDestiny™ that will help educators deliver eLearning in a post-pandemic world.
Celebrating their tenth anniversary, The EdTech Awards are the largest recognition program in all of education technology. Contest organizers announced all winners and finalists in the EdTech Awards on Wednesday (May 6).
“To those who stepped up and continue to do so — empathic educators, persistent parents, and laudable leaders moving learning forward, especially in these times — we salute you,” said Victor Rivero, Editor-in-Chief, EdTech Digest.
